Mika (미카) 1983년 8월 18일 레바논 출생.
본명 'Michael Holbrook Penniman'
데뷔 2007년 1집 앨범 " Life in Cartoon Motion "
지금은 영국과 미국을 번갈아 가며 음악활동을 하는 '미카'는
레바논이 그의 본국이었다. 하지만 레바논은 너무 오랫동안
기독교와 이슬람이 종교문제로 내전 중이었고 미국인이었던
아버지가 인질사건에 연루되면서 영국으로 이민을 가면서
영국 국적으로 지금도 활동하고 있다.
2007년에 발표한 1집 앨범으로 브릿 어워드(최우수 신인상), MTV 어워즈등
수많은 상들을 휩쓸며 단번에 세계적인 팝 스타로 자리 잡았다.
우리나라 팬들에게도 대단한 인기와 사랑을 받고 있는 '미카'는
내한공연 때마다 전 좌석 매진은 물론이거니와 팬들의 떼창으로
감동을 받을 만큼 전폭적인 관심과 사랑을 받고 있다.
'미카'는 영국의 명문 '왕립음악학교'를 졸업했지만 초기에는 러시아인 오페라
음악인에게 사사를 받은 것으로 알려져 있는데 그의 노래의 대부분을 스스로
만들어 부르는 '미카'의 음악적 다양성은 초기 음악교육의 영향도 있을 것이다.
2007년 1집 앨범 " Life in Cartoon Motion "은 영국을 비롯
12개국에서 앨범차트 1위를 기록한 '미카' 최고의 앨범으로
이 앨범 한 장만으로도 '미카'의 인기는 전 세계에 톱으로 올라갔다.
미국에서는 빌보드 200에서 29위에 오르면 다소 아쉬움을 보이긴
했지만 그게 '미카'의 세계적인 인기에는 조금의 흠집도 주지를 않았다.

이곡은 2007년에 발표한 1집 앨범 " Life in Cartoon Motion "에
수록된 곡이지만 2007년 7월에 싱글 앨범으로 다시 발매를 하며
팬들의 관심과 사랑을 많이 받았던 곡으로 결혼식 축가곡으로
자주 불리는 곡이기도 하다.
